Overview 

1.  Go to the GS1 website.

2. Click “Login” and then sign in using your account.

3. Click “Access GS1 Data Hub”

4. Create a location by clicking the location tab in the header and then press the “Create Location” in the upper right.

5.    Click "Choose Administrative Parent" and select your "legal entity" GLN if you have one created already.

6.    Click the check box next to the GLN/location you want to select as the administrative parent.

7.    Confirm your selection by pressing “Add Parent”.

8.   For automatic assignment of a GLN for the specific location select “Let Us Assign Your GLN”

9.    Scroll down to Industries and Supply Chain Roles and click the “Industry” dropdown menu.

10.    Here you select all industries that are relevant to your company.

11.  Repeat for “Supply Chain Role(s)”

12. Select the appropriate GLN Types. For most locations, you will have at least the "Fixed Physical         Location" option checked. You should also have at least one GLN that represents your "Legal Entity". This is usually the first GLN you enumerate. Your "Legal Entity" can also be a "Fixed Physical Location".

13.    Press “Continue”

14.    In the scenario the newly created GLN replaces any existing GLNs, you can include that information in the text box.

15.    Update the information with the relevant company details.

16.    Update the Business Attributes with the relevant transactions your company partakes in

17.    If you okay with all your changes, press "Publish GLN", if you want to make changes press "Save Draft         and Exit".
